CELEBRATION OF THE HOLY EUCHARIST

 

Sunday Divine Liturgy (Mass)

 

The Old Catholic Oratory of St. Augustine at St. Mary's Episcopal Church at Ridge Avenue and Cathedral Road in Philadelphia celebrates the Divine Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist (using the novus ordo of the Roman Missal, 2nd edition), with chant and incense, every Sunday at 12 Noon. All are welcome to worship Our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus, with our ecumenical Christian community . All baptzed Christians who believe in the Real Presence are welcome to receive Holy Communion. All are welcome to join us for our coffee social directly following Divine Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist.

 

Confession and Reconciliation

 

The Sacrament of Confession and Reconciliation is available every Sunday at 11:30am, before the celebration of the Divine Liturgy (the Mass), and by appointment.

 

Rites of Christian Initiation

 

The Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation are available for anyone desiring entrance into the Body of Christ, the Church, and Old Catholic sacraments are recognized by the Roman Catholic Church as well as other Christian denominations. Baptism and Confirmation is usually performed during the Mass on Sundays at Noon.

 

Holy Matrimony

 

The Sacrament of Holy Matrimony is available for all baptized Christians. Interested couples are asked to contact the priest to discuss their situation and desires.  

 

Visitation and Annointing of the Sick

 

Please contact the Oratory, and the priest will visit anyone and at time who requires annointing. In the Old Catholic tradition, the sacrament of annointing of the Sick can be performed on any baptized Christian.

 

Funerals and Rite of Christian Burial

 

The priests of the Oratory would be honored to work with the families of those who have experienced the death of a loved one, and we are available for all Christians who desire an old Catholic Funeral Mass and Rites of Christian Burial. Please contact the Oratory, and we will pray with you and assist in any way we can.

ORATORY REGISTRATION

Registration at the Oratory does not require reception into the Old Catholic Church. Please register if you wish, and if you would like to receive any of the Sacraments. Thank you and Welcome!
